Resolution to Approve a Purchase Order to BSB Communications, Inc. for a One Year Support Agreement for the City's Mitel phone system ($69,317.70) (Sourcewell - Government Pricing)
Memorandum
This memorandum and resolution request approval of a purchase order to BSB Communications, Inc. in the amount of $69,317.70 to purchase a one year support agreement for the City's Mitel phone system. This purchase will provide the City with support and software upgrades to keep the Mitel phone system operational and up to date.
BSB is recommended as a best source because it is the predecessor of CBTS who originally implemented the City's Mitel VOIP system. CBTS was the preferred support vendor for the Mitel System and had supported the system since its initial installation. CBTS transferred the City's account to BSB. All employees of CBTS are now employed by BSB. BSB is also ranked the #1 Mitel Dealer in Michigan and #12 in the US.
Budget/Fiscal Impact: Information Technology has included and budgeted for the cost of the purchase FY 2022.

Whereas, BSB Communications, Inc is extending pricing for the Mitel Assurance Support through Sourcewell - Government Pricing;
Whereas, BSB is now ranked the #1 Mitel Dealer in Michigan and #12 in the US;
Whereas, Funding for the Mitel phone system annual support is budgeted for and available in the approved FY 2022 Information Technology Fund budget;
Whereas, BSB Communications, Inc. complies with the requirements of the City's Non-Discrimination and Living Wage ordinances; and
