Resolution to Approve Changes to the Bylaws of the Ann Arbor City Planning Commission
Memorandum
The Ann Arbor City Planning Commission recommends approval of the attached amended bylaws. Sections 3 and 5 of Article VIII, Public Hearings, were amended to clarify the requirements for speaking times at public hearings. These amended bylaws were approved by the City Planning Commission at its meeting of August 6, 2014. The changes have been reviewed by the City Attorney's Office, consistent with Council Resolution R-08-496.

Whereas, The Ann Arbor City Planning Commission desires to amend its bylaws;
Whereas, City Council has passed a resolution directing the City Attorney to review the bylaws of City boards and commissions and revise them for consistency and uniformity to the extent practicable while meeting the requirements of individual boards and commissions;
Whereas, The City Attorney has reviewed the proposed amended bylaws in accordance with City Council's resolution;
Whereas, The Ann Arbor City Planning Commission approved the proposed amended bylaws at its meeting of August 6, 2014; and
Whereas, City Council has passed a resolution requiring all proposed amendments and bylaws of City boards and commissions to be approved by Council;
RESOLVED, That City Council approve the attached bylaw revision for the Ann Arbor City Planning Commission.
