Memorandum
This resolution approves a 25-year lease agreement from the Mallets Creek Drainage District (through the Washtenaw County Water Resources Commissioner) for the use and maintenance of Mary Beth Doyle Park - 3500 Birch Hollow Drive. The term of this lease is January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2048.

The City Park known as Mary Beth Doyle Park has, since 1979, consisted of several parcels owned by the City and one parcel owned by the County, with the entire park operated by the City except for certain stormwater infrastructure maintained by Drainage District. The City has leased this property at 3500 Birch Hollow Drive since 1979. The most recent lease renewal expired in 2003, with a holdover clause that has remained current. Staff recommends approval of the proposed twenty-five year lease.

Park Advisory Commission recommended approval of this lease at their June 25th meeting.

Whereas, The parties wish to establish this new 25-year lease to replace the existing month-to-month lease; and
