City Planning Commission Resolution Regarding Barton Pump Station Improvements Public Project Review, 1010 W. Huron River Drive
Memorandum
Attached is a resolution approved by the City Planning Commission on April 16, 2013 regarding the conformance of the proposed City of Ann Arbor Barton Pump Station Improvements with City private development standards.
Petition Summary:
The City of Ann Arbor Public Services Area proposes to construct electrical improvements and a new 2,100 square foot storage building at the Pump Station at 1010 W. Huron River Drive. The existing storage building on the site will be removed.
· The site is adjacent to the 100 year floodplain. No work is proposed in the floodplain.
· A 38-inch landmark Cottonwood tree located on the southeast portion of this site is minimally impacted by the proposed storage shed. No work is proposed within 10 feet of the trunk of this tree; therefore, no mitigation is required.
· No other natural features will be impacted by this proposal.
The Planning Commission reviewed the project at its meeting of April 16, 2013 found that the Barton Pump Station Improvements Public Project adheres to City private development standards with the following exception:
· First flush detention is not provided as required for a site with more than 5,000 square feet of impervious surface per Chapter 63, Storm Water Management and Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control.
