Class C Quota Liquor License Update Regarding Chela’s Restaurant & Taqueria, LLC

On June 6, 2022, the Ann Arbor City Council passed resolution R-22-189, recommending the approval of issuance of eight new full-year Class C quota liquor licenses, including Chela’s Restaurant & Taqueria, LLC (“Chela’s”) at 693 S. Maple Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48103. As of October 1, 2024, Chela’s is still in the process of reaching local and state compliance for their Class C license to be issued by the State of Michigan Liquor Control Commission. Senior Assistant City Attorney John Reiser prepared an update for the Council Liquor License Review Committee regarding the Class C liquor license status and process pertaining to Chela’s Restaurant & Taqueria, LLC.
