Memorandum
In 2015, City Council accepted a grant of easement from the Ann Arbor Housing Commission for sanitary sewer on the property. The property has since been redeveloped necessitating revised utility easements.
This easement is in standard form and is conveyed without cost to the City. Staff recommends release of the existing easement and acceptance of the new easement.

Whereas, In 2015, the Ann Arbor Housing Commission granted to the City an easement for sanitary sewer at 701 N. Maple Road, recorded at Liber 5112, Page 540 of Deeds, Washtenaw County Records;
Whereas, The Ann Arbor Housing Commission is the owner of property commonly known as 701 N. Maple Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan, described at Liber 5112, Page 537 and Liber 5112, page 538 of Deeds, Washtenaw County Records;
Whereas, The Ann Arbor Housing Commission has signed a new grant of easement for sanitary sewer, described as:
VARIABLE WIDTH SANITARY SEWER EASEMENT LOCATED IN SECTION 24, T2S, R5E, CITY OF ANN ARBOR, WASHTENAW COUNTY, MICHIGAN, ALSO BEING PART OF "SCIOTO HILLS NUMBER ONE" SUBDIVISION, LIBER 8 OF PLATS, PAGE 30, WASHTENAW COUNTY RECORDS:
Commencing at the NE corner of Lot 290 of "Scioto Hills Number One" Subdivision, Liber 8 of Plats, Page 30, Washtenaw County Records; thence N87?42'30"W 155.00 feet along the north line of Lot 290; thence S01?31'00"W 120.00 feet along the west line of Lots 289-290; thence N87?42'30"W 155.00 feet along the north line of Lot 280; thence N01?31'00"E 13.19 feet along the east right-of-way line of Seybold Drive to the POINT OF BEGINNIN...
