Title
Resolution to Approve Temporary Outdoor Sales, Service and Consumption of Alcoholic Beverages during the 2022 Ann Arbor Art Fair
Memorandum
The attached resolution recommends approval of temporary outdoor service of alcoholic beverages during the 2022 Ann Arbor Art Fair for the businesses listed.
In accordance with the Administrative Rules of the Michigan Liquor Control Commission, temporary outdoor service by an on-premises licensee requires approval of the local police and the MLCC. In addition, if the temporary outdoor service area is located on property owned or under the control of the City, MLCC requires evidence of approval from the local governing body prior to approval by the MLCC.
All of the licensed establishments listed are approved by the Ann Arbor Police Services and recommended for approval by Council. Note that due to the Main Street Social District and downtown street closures in place, some eligible licensees already have expanded service areas and do not need to apply specifically for Art Fair service and consumption.
The approved recommendations will be forwarded to the Michigan Liquor Control Commission by the City Clerk for review and final approval.
