This is a voluntary easement given as part of the 2026 Sidewalk Gap Elimination Project. This easement is granted voluntarily by the property owner to avoid tree removal in the public right of way.

Whereas, Maris Laporter, is the owner of property commonly known as 1420 Pear Street, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48105; and
Whereas, Maris Laporter, has signed a grant of easement for public sidewalk as shown and described on the attached easement and map:
A 5 FOOT WIDE EASEMENT FOR SIDEWALK PURPOSES BEING PART OF LOTS 1 & 2 OF PATRIDGES ADDITION SUBDIVISION, AS RECORDED IN LIBER 60 PAGE 317 WASHTENAW COUNTY RECORD OF PLATS, LOCATED IN SECTION 21, TOWN 2 SOUTH, RANGE 6 EAST, CITY OF ANN ARBOR, WASHTENAW COUNTY, MICHIGAN, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:
COMMENCING FROM THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF LOT 1 OF SAID SUBDIVISION; THENCE N15°31'20"E 69.73 FEET ALONG THE EAST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF PEAR STREET (49.5 FEET WIDE - PUBLIC), BEING THE WEST LINE OF SAID PARCEL, TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING; THENCE CONTINUING ALONG THE EAST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF SAID PEAR STREET N15°31'20"E 25.00 FEET TO THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF SAID PARCEL; THENCE S70°57'40"E 5.00 FEET ALONG THE NORTH LINE OF SAID PARCEL; THENCE S15°31'20"W 25.00 FEET PARALLEL WITH THE EAST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF SAID PEAR STREET; THENCE N70°57'40"W 5.00 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING.
