Title
Resolution to Increase Purchasing Authority with Henry Ford Health from $30,000.00 per year, as Authorized in City Council Resolution R-23-020, to $40,000.00 per year for On-Site Medical Surveillance Services ($10,000.00 increase per year)
Memorandum
Attached for your approval is a resolution authorizing an increase in purchasing authority with Henry Ford Health for on-site medical surveillance services. Henry Ford Health has an existing contract to provide the City with on-site occupational medical surveillance testing services including annual audiograms, respirator user clearance and fit testing, tuberculosis testing and other services as required by Michigan Occupational Safety and Health regulations. In 2022, the City Safety Unit issued RFP 22-72 and evaluated four proposals. A professional services agreement between the City and Henry Ford Health was executed on January 27, 2023, as authorized by City Council Resolution R-23-020. No changes are being made to Henry Ford Health's fee schedule. However, the City Safety Unit has required more on-site visits from Henry Ford Health than was previously anticipated to complete the required annual testing, which requires an increase in purchasing authority. In addition, the resolution seeks authorization for administrative approval of two (2) two-year renewal terms pursuant to the same terms and conditions.

Budget/Fiscal Impact: Funding for the project is available in the approved FY 26 City Safety Unit budget.
