Body
Whereas, The Ann Arbor City Council wishes to support activities that promote or bring the community together in its richness;
Whereas, The Ann Arbor Community Events Fund Committee met and reviewed funding requests from community groups;
Whereas, The Committee recommends the following allocations:
1) State Street Association - $3,000.00 to cover city costs for the 2021 Ann Arbor State Street Art Fair on July 15-17, 2021;
2) The Guild of Artists and Artisans - $3,000.00 to cover city costs for the 2021 Ann Arbor Summer Art Fair on July 15-17, 2021;
3) Ann Arbor Art Fair, Inc. - $5,875.00 to cover city cots for the 2021 Ann Arbor Art Fair on July 15-17, 2021;
4) Leslie Science & Nature Center and Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum - $500.00 to cover city costs for the Monarch Migration Festival on September 12, 2021;
5) Main Street Area Association - $1,000.00 to cover city costs for Taste of Ann Arbor on September 19, 2021;
6) Veterans for Peace - Chapter 93 - $125.00 to cover city costs for Veterans Day Memorial at Vets Park on November 11, 2021;
7) Leslie Science & Nature Center and Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum- $500.00 to cover city costs for Ann Arbor Earth Day Celebration on April 1, 2022;
8) WonderFool Productions - $5,000.00 to cover city costs for the Fool Moon Event on April 1, 2022;
9) WonderFool Productions - $5,000.00 to cover city costs for the FestiFools Event on April 3, 2022;
10) Standing Tough Against Rape Society (formerly Michigan Takes Back the Night) - $2,000.00 to cover city costs for the 2022 Standing Tough Against Rape event on April 7, 2022;
11) Main Street Area Association - $1,000.00 to cover city costs for the Taste of Ann Arbor Event on June 5, 2022;
