Memorandum
Approval of this resolution releases the City's rights in an easement for water line granted in the Grant of Easement from West Side United Methodist Church to the City of Ann Arbor dated December 7th, 1987 and recorded April 7, 1988 in Liber 2218, page 40, Washtenaw County Records.
The easement was superseded by an easement accepted by Council on July 15, 2019 (R-19-344).
Release of the easement is recommended.

Whereas, The City acquired a water line easement from West Side United Methodist Church dated December 7th, 1987 and recorded April 7, 1988 in Liber 2218, page 40, Washtenaw County Records; and
Whereas, The City has determined that there is no longer any public need for the easement;
RESOLVED, That the City of Ann Arbor hereby releases all rights granted by the easement recorded at Liber 2218, Page 40 of Deeds, Washtenaw County Records, also described as:
A 40 foot wide easement for the construction and maintenance of water line the centerline of which is more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the Northwest corner of Section 32, Town 2 South, Range 6 East, City of Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan; thence South 352.00 feet along the west line of said Section 32; thence Easterly deflecting 90 degrees 44 minutes to the left 462.42 feet along a line parallel to the north line of said Section 32; thence Southerly deflecting 90 degrees 46 minutes to the right 163.93 feet for a Place of Beginning; thence Westerly deflecting 89 degrees 14 minutes to the right 85.00 feet along a line parallel to the North line of said Section 32 for a Place of Ending, being a part of the Northwest 1/4 of said Section 32.
