Resolution to Approve Revised Bylaws of the Planning Commission
Memorandum
The Planning Commission voted on August 19, 2025 to amend their bylaws. Changes were unanimously recommended for approval to City Council by the Commission. The minor changes include:
• Dedicated public comment periods were added for site plans which no longer require public hearings.
• Annexations were removed from Article 9, and Special Exception Uses were added.
The bylaws have been reviewed by the City Attorney’s Office and comport with the standard bylaws format consistent with City Council Resolution R-08-496.

Whereas, The Planning Commission approved amendments to its bylaws on August 19, 2025; and
Whereas, City Council has passed a resolution requiring all proposed bylaws of City boards and commissions to be approved by City Council;
RESOLVED, That City Council approves the attached bylaws of the Planning Commission.
