Memorandum
The attached resolution is requesting approval to close Detroit Street between Catherine and Fifth Streets on Friday, December 6, 2024 from 8:00 AM until 11:00 PM for KindleFest 2024.

This event will also be utilizing the Farmers Market. The closed street will be used to allow more room for participants to explore the entire area. The sponsor, the Kerrytown District Association, will submit an application for approval from the State of Michigan Liquor Control Commission for temporary sales, service and consumption of alcoholic beverages in the defined areas, pursuant to the MLCC regulations.

Notification of the street closure will be through the City's website, GovDelivery and the Kerrytown District Association's resources.

The sponsor agrees to obtain all necessary permits, to provide evidence of proper liability insurance as required, to comply with all City and state regulations governing the use of the streets, and will reimburse the City for all event expenses.

* Detroit Street between Catherine and Fifth;

Whereas, The sponsor requires the approval of the Michigan Liquor Control Commission for a special outdoor liquor license;
