Title
Resolution to Authorize the Purchase of Four Ford Mustang Mach-E's from Lunghamer Ford and Appropriate Funding (State of Michigan MiDeal - $157,852.00) (8 Votes Required)
Memorandum
The attached resolution authorizes the purchase of four Ford Mustang Mach-E's at $39,463.00 each for a total of $157,852.00 through the State of Michigan MiDeal cooperative purchasing program (MA240000001208) from Lunghamer Ford, Owosso, Michigan.

The building and rental inspection department of the Community Services Unit has requested the purchase of these four vehicles for the four new full-time positions that they have opened in their department. These vehicles will be used to go around the City for building inspections.

The Ford Mustang Mach-E is a full electric vehicle.

Lunghamer Ford, Owosso, MI, is the lowest responsive bidder to the State of Michigan MIDeal cooperative purchasing program for these vehicles.

Lunghamer Ford complies with the requirements of the City's Conflict of Interest and Non-Discrimination ordinances.

Budget/Fiscal Impact: The building and rental inspection department has made a one-time capital contribution to Fleet Services from the Construction Fund expenditure budget in the amount of $157,852.00 for the purchase of these four vehicles. The transfer will be received as capital contribution revenue in the FY2025 Fleet Services Fund Operations and Maintenance budget from the fund listed above. With the appropriation of this capital contribution from Fleet revenue, adequate funding for the purchase of these four vehicles is available in the approved FY2025 Fleet Services Fund Operations and Maintenance budget.

These new vehicles will be placed on a 7-year replacement schedule which is consistent with our other vehicles in this department. The building and rental inspection department will have an annual replacement cost of approximately $6,241.00 per vehicle. This Fleet replacement cost covers the future cost of replacing these vehicles.
