Memorandum
Attached for your review and approval is a resolution to authorize an agreement with SafeHouse Center for the development and administration of a grant program to support survivors of intimate partner violence and survivors of sexual assault, their families, friends and the community by providing trauma-informed support, safety-planning, and resources to support survivors in their goals and healing process.

SafeHouse Center has demonstrated it has the deep knowledge of crisis support service as well as experience administering grant and aid programs. As the subrecipient of these funds, SafeHouse Center agrees to work closely with City Staff to establish the grant program guidelines and funding criteria to meet community goals and federal SLFRF guidelines. Subrecipient will be responsible for all aspects of the grant program management and administration.

Whereas, On July 1, 2024 City Council adopted resolution #R-24-280, which directed the allocation of ARPA Funds including $100,000 in funding to support Intimate Partner Violence Support Programs during the ongoing pandemic recovery; and

Whereas, The services offered by SafeHouse Center are free, confidential and available to all survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault, who live, work, or were victimized in Washtenaw County
