The City has been sued in the United States District Court Eastern District of Michigan, Case No. 22-13073 Jennifer Alexa, Jeff Malone, Tim Rugg v. City of Ann Arbor.
The City Attorney's Office selected the law firm of Dykema Gossett, P.L.L.C. to provide specialized litigation services in this case. The selection is based of the firm's expertise with the specialized legal issues and the firm's proven experience in defending similar cases.
Dykema Gossett, P.L.L.C complies with the City of Ann Arbor's Non-Discrimination and Living Wage Ordinances.
The City Attorney's Office requests approval of the legal services agreement with Dykema Gossett P.L.L.C. in the amount of $300,000 for legal services.
Budget/Fiscal Impact: Funding for these services are available in the impacted service units' operating budget.
