Memorandum

Ordinance 25-33 was approved by City Council on November 17, 2025. The City Charter allows summary publication of ordinances that are in excess of 500 words in length upon approval by City Council. Summary publication is appropriate due to the cost of publication and length of the ordinance. The ordinance will also be available publicly online.

RESOLVED, That the publication of Ordinance 25-33 shall be made by the following summary: 

 

Ordinance 25-33 amends the Unified Development Code (Chapter 55) requirements and procedures related to separation of schools and marijuana facilities. Section 5.16.3.F Marijuana Facilities is amended to reduce the separation requirement of such facilities from 1,000 to 100 feet.

 

The effective date of Ordinance 25-33 is 10 days after publication. A complete text of this ordinance is available for inspection at the City Clerk’s office on the second floor of the Guy C. Larcom Municipal Building, 301 East Huron Street, Ann Arbor or at <http://www.a2gov.org>
