An Ordinance to Amend Section 1:207 (Transportation Commission) of Chapter 8 of City Code (ORD-23-23)

Memorandum

This amendment removes the requirement that one member of the Transportation Commission be an owner of a transportation business operating in Ann Arbor. This position has become difficult to fill and City staff and the Transportation Commission believe they are better served by having this position open to a broader range of individuals. A technical amendment is also included, removing a reference to “citizens” to avoid confusion with national citizenship.

The Transportation Commission approved the change regarding membership at their September 21, 2022 meeting.
