Resolution to Review and Approve the Ann Arbor Housing Commission By-Laws and Adopt the FY 27 Housing Commission Calendar

The Ann Arbor Housing Commission’s by-laws state that an Annual Meeting will be held in May of each year to review and approve the by-laws, adopt a meeting calendar and elect board members.
The Housing Commission’s fiscal year begins July 1st and ends June 30th of each year; and the Commission meets monthly to discuss Agency business. The by-laws indicate that the Board will meet on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. The board approved a change to the board meeting schedule to meeting on the 3rd Thursday of each month and the by-laws need to be amended to reflect that change.
Attached is the proposed meeting schedule for the Ann Arbor Housing Commission Board Calendar for FY 27 (July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027). The City Calendar was consulted to make sure the meetings are not on any major religious holidays.
Staff recommend changing the By-Laws to meeting on the 3rd Thursday of the month instead of the 3rd Wednesday of the month.

RESOLVED, the Ann Arbor Housing Commission Board will meet on the 3rd Thursday of the month and adopts the attached meeting schedule for FY27 (July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027).
