Resolution to Approve Street Closings for Fool Moon on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 12:00 Noon to 12:00 Midnight
Memorandum
Attached for your consideration is a resolution to approve the closing of the following streets for the Fool Moon special event on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 12:00 Noon on Friday, April 4, 2025, to 12:00 Midnight. The actual event will take place from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM:
* Ashley from Liberty to Huron
* Washington from Main to Ashley
The event is being sponsored by Mark Tucker, who is also working with University of Michigan Arts Initiative, Larry and Lucie Nisson U-M LSWA, Sweetwaters, Grizzly Peak, Destination Ann Arbor, Main Street Area Association, and the Downtown Development Authority.
The sponsor is requesting that the following streets be closed from Noon to Midnight on Friday, April 4, 2025:
* Ashley from Liberty to Huron
* Washington from Main to Ashley
The sponsor will coordinate the bagging of parking meters with the DDA.
The sponsor agrees to obtain all necessary permits, to provide evidence of proper liability insurance as required, to comply with all City regulations governing the use of the streets and will reimburse the City for all event expenses.
Notification of the street closings will be provided through the City lane closure website and FestiFools Studio on Facebook.
The event has been coordinated with all relevant City service areas for the purposes of traffic control and for the protection of the health and safety of the participants and the general public.
