Resolution to Appropriate Funds and to Amend the Wheeler Service Center Fund Budget ($150,000.00) (8 Votes Required)

Memorandum

Attached for your review and approval is a resolution to appropriate $150,000.00 from the Wheeler Service Center Fund unobligated fund balance.

 

Additional funding from the Wheeler Service Center Fund balance is requested to balance the current year’s operations and maintenance budget. The facility has had a series of unexpected repairs to heating and cooling units, gates, garage doors and the fire system. In addition, energy costs have significantly increased, further impacting the facilities budget.

 

Budget/Fiscal Impact: Funds for the unexpected facility repairs and increased energy costs are available in the unobligated fund balance of the Wheeler Service Center Fund Balance.

Whereas; Additional funds from the Wheeler Service Center Fund balance are requested to pay facility expenses through the end of the fiscal year due to unexpected repairs and increased energy costs; and  

 

Whereas, Sufficient funds are available in Wheeler Service Center Fund unobligated fund balance to cover these costs;

 

RESOLVED, That $150,000.00 be appropriated from the Wheeler Service Center Fund unobligated fund balance to pay facility expenses through the end of the fiscal year; thereby, increasing the FY26 Wheeler Service Center Operations and Maintenance Budget; and

 

RESOLVED, That City Council authorize the City Administrator to take the necessary actions to implement this resolution.
