Title
Resolution to Approve Amendment Two to the General Services Contract with Farmer & Underwood Trucking, LTD. for Aggregate Materials and Hauling Services for Excavation and Street Sweeping Waste, ($60,159.00 Increase, Total Contract Not to Exceed $460,000.00 Annually)
Memorandum
This memorandum and resolution requests approval to amend the General Services Agreement with Farmer & Underwood Trucking, LTD. for aggregate materials and hauling services for excavation and street sweeping waste.

City of Ann Arbor Public Works Unit has historically purchased operating materials aggregates on an as-needed basis. The original agreement was approved by Council on June 21, 2025 (R-25-273) in an amount not to exceed $350,000.00 annually. The Wheeler Solar Project service driveway construction by Public Works staff resulted in a prior amended agreement by Public Works and approved by Council on May 18, 2026 (R-26-179) to $399,841.00. The anticipated materials aggregate purchases for FY2026 and FY2027 are projected to equal approximately $460,000.00 annually due to an increased need. Public Works is seeking an additional increase of $60,159,000.00 to the existing agreement and subsequent amended amount of $460,000.00 annually for the duration of the general services agreement.

The recommended vendor for referenced materials aggregate remains Farmer & Underwood Trucking, LTD., based upon ITB 4773 of 2025. Farmer & Underwood Trucking, LTD, is Public Works current provider for said materials.

Farmer & Underwood Trucking, LTD., complies with the requirements of the City's Non-Discrimination Ordinance.

Budget/Fiscal Impact: Funding is available in the appropriate, approved FY26 and FY27, Public Works Operations and Maintenance budgets. Costs will be charged as appropriate.
