These six locations, Clague Middle School, Thurston Elementary, Scarlett Middle School, Pioneer High School, Dicken Elementary, and Slauson Middle School regularly host nine precincts. In consultation with AAPS, all locations are proposed to be moved to a nearby public-school building.
Location changes are as follows:
2-18 Clague Middle School - move to Logan Elementary, 2685 Traver Blvd.
2-21 Thurston Elementary - move to Logan Elementary, 2685 Traver Blvd.
3-27 and 3-30 Scarlett Middle School - move to Bryant Elementary, 2150 Santa Rosa
4-34 and 4-38 Pioneer High School - move to Lawton Elementary, 2250 S. Seventh St.
4-37 and 5-48 Dicken Elementary - move to Eberwhite Elementary, 800 Soule Blvd.
5-45 Slauson Middle School - move to Bach Elementary, 600 W. Jefferson St.
It is expected that all affected voters will be able to return to their usual polling place on November 3, 2026.
Upon approval by City Council, the City Clerk’s Office will begin promotion of the temporary change, including notices to voters, press releases, website posting, social media, etc. Signage will also be posted at entrances to all affected locations alerting voters of the change.
The City Clerk’s Office is requesting that City Council authorize the City Clerk and the City Administrator to take any necessary action to implement this resolution.
