Title

Resolution to Appropriate Funds for the Carlisle Wortman Contract for Building Plan Review and Inspection Services ($100,000.00) (8 Votes Required)

Memorandum

The City has contracted with Carlisle Wortman, Inc., as a third-party plan review and construction inspection service provider.

This resolution requests additional fund appropriation from the construction fund to cover extra hours needed for plan review and inspections to meet service demands through the end of FY24 and the remainder of the contract ending July 1, 2024.

The increased demand for trade inspections associated with large construction projects will deplete the existing budget before the end of the fiscal year.

Budget/Fiscal Impact:  The Building and Rental Service Manager is requesting to amend the FY24 budget for the Construction Fund by $100,000.00. This appropriation request will cover all the anticipated costs for reviewing commercial plans and performing trade inspections on major construction projects.
