Resolution to Approve Purchase of Citrix Licensing, Support, and Professional Services from CDW Government LLC ($72,437.72)
Memorandum
The attached resolution seeks authorization to purchase new products from Citrix (NetScaler VPX200), an upgrade of licensing from XenApp to XenDesktop, along with software maintenance and technical support for a period of 3 years for such products. This resolution also seeks authorization to hire professional services from CDW Government LLC to assist in the migration and upgrade necessary to implement these new products. This will be payable for FY2019 in the amount up to $72,437.72 to CDW Government LLC, subject to annual budget approvals which will consist of $28,904.37 for the licensing purchase and year one of support, and $24,980.00 for professional services to be billed at an hourly rate. $9,276.68 will apply to FY2020 for software maintenance and technical support, as will $9,276.67 for FY2021.
Fiscal/Budget Impact: This expenditure is in the FY2019 Information Technology Budget and is planned to be included in FY2020 and FY2021 Information Technology Fund Budget.

This purchase seeks to modernize the City’s Citrix computing environment with purchase of NetScaler VPX and XenDesktop software licenses, and provide necessary maintenance and tech support through FY2021.
The City has already entered into a Product Sales and Service Projects Agreement with CDW Government LLC (dated May 8, 2018) and the terms of that Agreement will apply to the proposed transactions.

Whereas, The City of Ann Arbor requires that Citrix XenDesktop and NetScaler VPX Licenses be purchased to efficiently and effectively operate and sustain the City’s network computing environment and continue to enhance the level of City service delivery;
Whereas, Funding for these expenditures is in the FY2019 Information Technology Budget and is planned to be included in FY2020 and FY2021 Information Technology Fund Budget;
Whereas, The City has already entered into a Product Sales and Service Projects Agreement with CDW Government LLC and the terms of that Agreement will apply to the proposed transactions; and
Whereas, CDW Government LLC complies with the requirements of the City’s Non-Discrimination and Living Wage Ordinances;
RESOLVED, That City Council approve purchase of Citrix software licensing, technical support (including professional services to assist in the migration and upgrade necessary to implement these new products), and software maintenance from CDW Government LLC for three years, for a total of $72,437.72, pursuant to the CDW Government LLC quote attached hereto; and
RESOLVED, That the City Administrator be authorized to take the necessary actions to implement this Resolution regardless of fiscal year, including the execution of any statement of work or renewal documents required by Citrix or CDW Government LLC, after approval as to form by the City Attorney.
