Title

Resolution to Establish a Committee to Review and Make Recommendations on Ann Arbor's Existing Medical Marijuana Ordinance

Memo

In early September, 2016, the Michigan Governor signed into law a series of legislative acts that create a path to state-issued licenses for medical marijuana businesses.  These new state laws includes five (5) different types of license: provisioning centers, testing facilities, manufacturing facilities, growing facilities, and safe transport companies.  The City’s ordinances need to be amended.  This resolution establishes a committee to review and recommend amendments to Title VII (businesses and trades), Chapter 95.
