Resolution Supporting a Grant Application to the Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation Commission Connecting Communities Program for Treeline Alignment Study from Argo Pond to 721 N. Main

Memorandum

The City of Ann Arbor and the Treeline Conservancy are seeking funds from the Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation Commission Connecting Communities Program to complete a preliminary engineering study, known as an alignment study, to determine the best trail route and crossing mechanism to move people between Argo Pond to 721 N. Main.  The planned study will address a significant trail link that is a key connector to the Border-to-Border Trail and is the Treeline’s most complicated road crossing;

The City of Ann Arbor submitted a pre-proposal application, which resulted in a meeting with staff to discuss project details and ultimately an approval to submit a formal grant application.  A requirement of the formal grant application is a Resolution of Support from City Council.
