Resolution to Approve the 1155 Arlington Boulevard Annexation, 0.9 Acres, 1155 Arlington Boulevard (CPC Recommendation: Approval - 7 Yeas and 0 Nays)
Memorandum
Approval of this resolution will allow annexation of this property from Ann Arbor Township into the City. The property is within the City’s water and sewer service area, and the current use is consistent with the adjacent zoning, land uses and master plan. Council action on the proposed R1A (Single-Family District) zoning will be scheduled after the annexation process is complete.
The City Planning Commission, at its meeting of March 18, 2025, recommended approval of the request.

Whereas, The territory hereinafter described is located in the Township of Ann Arbor and is adjacent to the corporate limits of the City of Ann Arbor;
Whereas, Arthur W. Tai and Bing Tai, as Co-Trustees of The Tai Family Trust, are the owners of said property; and
Whereas, It is the desire of Arthur W. Tai and Bing Tai to annex said territory to the City of Ann Arbor, pursuant to the provisions of Public Act 279 of 1909 or Public Act 359 of 1947 of the State of Michigan, as amended;
RESOLVED, That the following described lands and premises situated and being in the Township of Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan, be detached from said Township and annexed to the City of Ann Arbor:
Commencing at the north 1/4 corner of Section 34, T2S, R6E, Ann Arbor Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan; thence N87˚32’19”E 2624.09 feet along the north line of said Section 34 to the northeast corner of said Section 34; thence S26˚57’23”W 2251.63 feet to a point on the west line of Heather Way; thence continuing along N68˚27’31”W 100.55 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING; thence N89˚36’03”W 284.47 feet; thence 109.08 feet along the arc of a 281.24 foot radius curve to the left with chord bearing N14˚10’33”W 108.40 feet along the centerline of Arlington Boulevard (60 feet wide); thence continuing along said east line N25˚17’11”W 31.66 feet; thence N85˚05’14”E 311.68 feet; thence S04˚55’41”E 163.00 feet to the Point of Beginning, containing 1.003 acres of land, more or less, and being part of the northeast 1/4 of said Section 34.
