One City representative shall be appointed to the Board of Directors of the Leslie Science and Nature Center by partnership agreement between the City and the Leslie Science and Nature Center 401(c)3 nonprofit organization, Resolution No. R-282-6-07 on June 18, 2007.

Purpose
The partnership agreement will provide for City oversight of the Leslie Science Center transition to and operation by the nonprofit organization through City representation on the Leslie Science and Nature Center nonprofit governance board and regular reporting by the Leslie Science and Nature Center nonprofit governance board to the City's Community Services Area Administrator.

Membership Composition
Only Councilmembers or Park Advisory Commission members are eligible to serve on this board. Appointment by Mayor with approval of Council. The Leslie Science and Nature Center shall submit a nominee or nominees from City Council or Parks Advisory Commission to the City for consideration.
