Board of Insurance Administration
Established in Section 1:193, Chapter 8, Title I of the Ann Arbor City Code.
Purpose
To supervise the self-insurance fund of the City and to make recommendations concerning the actuarial sufficiency of said fund and the investment of accumulated reserves. To receive and investigate all employee worker's disability compensation claims and handle payment of related bills, as well as all citizens' claims filed against the City.
Length of Terms
Councilmembers 1 year, Treasurer is ex officio.
Meeting Times and Frequency
Meets on the 4th Thursday of every month and more frequently if needed.
