Cable Communications Commission
Established in Section 2:128, Chapter 32, Title II of the Ann Arbor City Code.
Bylaws approved October 15, 2012 by R-12-469.
Purpose
The purpose of the Cable Communications Commission shall be to provide a consistent and formal opportunity for public involvement and perspective regarding cable communication, and to provide counsel and advice to the City Administrator and City Council regarding cable television regulatory activities and the operation of the city's PEG access television entity.
Special Qualifications for Appointment
- Demonstrated interest in cable communications
- Community Television Network volunteer or producer
- Cable or media technology expertise
Length of Terms
5 year terms, staggered so that no more than 2 terms expire in a year
Meeting Times and Frequency
This is a permanent commission that meets quarterly the 1st Wednesday quarterly at 3:00 pm, in the studio at Community Television Network, 2805 S. Industrial, Suite 200.
The meetings are telecast live and taped for replay.

7 members appointed by the Mayor and approved by City Council.
