Memorandum
The 15th Judicial District Court has been notified by the U.S. Department of Justice that the Court has been awarded a two-year, $399,898.00 grant to enhance county-wide efforts to prevent domestic violence, effective October 1, 2011 and terminating on September 30, 2013.
Under the terms of the grant, the 15th Judicial District Court is the lead administrative grant agency.
$217,696.00 will reimburse the City for the salaries and fringe benefits for one FTE Domestic Violence Probation Agent, one PTE System Coordinator, one PTE Safety Enhancement Officer and two PTE Data Entry Clerks. $90,000.00 will reimburse the City for domestic violence prevention services provided by SafeHouse Center per contract. $77,202.00 will reimburse the City for domestic violence probation services and domestic violence data entry services provided by 14A Judicial District Court per contract. $15,000.00 will reimburse the City for training expenses mandated by the Department of Justice.
At the discretion of the City CFO, the Court will establish a separate grant account with the City Finance and Administrative Services Area and will take all other necessary steps to assure the effective administration of this grant.
