Resolution Approving a Change Order to the Purchase Order with Anlaan Corporation for Repairs to the Sidewalk at Fuller Road Bridge ($4,715.01)
Memorandum
The attached resolution requests approval of a change order to the Anlaan Corporation for repairs that were made to portions of the sidewalks on the Fuller Road Bridge over the Norfolk Southern Railroad Tracks.
Portions of the sidewalk on the Fuller Road Bridge over the Norfolk Southern Railroad tracks required repair. Normally, this work would be undertaken by the Field Operations Unit. However, due to the specialized nature and extent of the repair work, the Project Management Services Unit arranged for the work to be performed, and for its supervision and inspection. Anlaan Corporation was selected to perform the work and a purchase order for $24,900.00 was issued for the work.
The work was performed and completed during the week of September 12, 2011. As the work was being performed, it became clear that the amount of deteriorated concrete that required repair would increase above the originally estimated quantities. The additional work was performed with the unit prices of the original agreement. All necessary work was completed for the amount of $29,615.01. This was $4,715.01 above the original amount of the purchase order with Anlaan.
Funding for this work will come from the approved FY12 Operation and Maintenance budget of the Field Services Unit of the Public Services Area.
Anlaan pays its employees a Living Wage and received Human Rights approval on August 22, 2011.
