Whereas, The appointment of members of the Greenbelt Advisory Commission is a prerogative of the City Council;
Whereas, There is currently a vacancy on the Greenbelt Advisory Commission due to the expiration of Gill Omenn's term;
Whereas, Shannon Brines has expressed an interest in serving on the Greenbelt Advisory Commission and would accept an appointment to the Commission effective November 21, 2011;
Whereas, The Greenbelt Advisory Commission recommends the appointment of Shannon Brines to the Commission; and
Whereas, Shannon Brines was presented to City Council on November 10, 2011 for consideration for appointment to the Greenbelt Advisory Commission;
RESOLVED, That Shannon Brines be appointed to serve a three-year term on the Greenbelt Advisory Commission, replacing the vacancy left by Gill Omenn, beginning November 21, 2011 and expiring November 20, 2014; and
RESOLVED, That the City Clerk notify Mr. Brines of this appointment.
