Resolution to Approve City Administrator Contract

Body

Whereas, On July 18, 2011 by resolution the City Council authorized the Human Resources Director to offer the position of City Administrator to Steven D. Powers;

Whereas, The City Council appointed Councilmembers Higgins, Taylor and Briere to work with the Human Resources Director to finalize an employment contract between Steve Powers and the City of Ann Arbor; and

Whereas, A contract was negotiated and an agreement was reached;

RESOLVED, That City Council approves the Employment Agreement between the City of Ann Arbor and Steve. D. Powers and requests the Mayor and City Clerk to execute said agreement;

RESOLVED, That Steve D. Powers start date will be September 15, 2011; and

RESOLVED, That the City Administrator Search Committee is disbanded immediately.
