Resolution to Appoint Fire Chief
Memorandum
The attached resolution provides for the appointment of Ollice Hubbard as the Ann Arbor Fire Chief effective June 6, 2011.
Ollice Hubbard has 25 ½ years of service with the Ann Arbor Fire Department. He was hired in as a firefighter and progressed through the officer ranks. He has served the City of Ann Arbor as Firefighter, Driver Operator, Lieutenant, Battalion Chief and most recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Fire Chief.
Ollice Hubbard holds a Business Management Degree from Eastern Michigan University and graduated from Fire Staff and Command.
Ollice Hubbard is qualified to serve and is recommended to Council for appointment as Ann Arbor Fire Chief

Whereas, Ollice Hubbard has 25 ½ years of service with the Ann Arbor Fire Department;

Whereas, Section 12:1(b) of the Ann Arbor City Charter provides that the Fire Chief shall be appointed by the City Council on recommendation of the City Administrator; and
Whereas, Ollice Hubbard is qualified to serve and is recommended to Council for appointment as Ann Arbor's Fire Chief;
RESOLVED, That City Council does hereby appoint Ollice Hubbard as City of Ann Arbor Fire Chief, effective June 6, 2011. The terms and conditions of employment have been agreed upon by both parties.
