Resolution to Approve an Amendment to the Construction Manager Agreement with Clark Construction Co. ($1,091,211.00)
Memorandum
Staff requests Council approval of an amendment to the Clark Construction Co. contract in the amount of $1,091,211.00. This is comprised of $693,327.00 for security and $397,884.00 for audio/visual. The original contract with Clark Construction Co. did not provide for these upgraded security and audio/visual elements.
Funding was budgeted in the FY11 General Fund operating budget for this purpose and is sufficient to cover this cost. An amendment to the contract and purchase order is requested for approval.
With this amendment, the value of the Clark Construction Co. contract will be $39,334,956.00.

Whereas, It is necessary to amend the construction manager agreement with Clark Construction Co. to provide for upgraded security and audio/visual installations at the Ann Arbor Municipal Center, and the FY11 General Fund operating budget contains sufficient funds for this amendment;
RESOLVED, That an amendment to the construction manager agreement with Clark Construction Co. in the amount of $1,091,211.00 be authorized;
RESOLVED, That the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized and directed to execute said amendment after approval as to substance by the City Administrator and approval as to form by the City Attorney; and
RESOLVED, That the City Administrator be authorized to take any administrative actions necessary to implement this resolution.
