Resolution to Approve a Purchase Order to Most Dependable Fountains, Inc. for Thirteen ADA Compliant Drinking Fountains ($49,087.00)

Attached for your review and approval is a resolution to authorize a purchase order to purchase 13 ADA compliant drinking fountains from Most Dependable Fountains, Inc. for a total of $49,087.00.
In 2007, the City started switching to Most Dependable Fountains (MDF) drinking fountains that were ADA compliant. These fountains have an exclusive design and are not sold elsewhere. The MDF drinking fountains are designed to withstand the extreme circumstances that public drinking fountains have to endure. Most Dependable Fountains, Inc. is the only drinking fountain manufacturer using a solid stainless steel bubbler. Most Dependable Fountains, Inc. is the sole supplier of all MDF products.
All of the City’s new drinking fountains are from MDF and it is beneficial to continue to standardize the drinking fountains. Of the 13 drinking fountains, six will replace drinking fountains within the DDA area. The others replace drinking fountains in city parks.
Most Dependable Fountains received Contract Compliance approval on April 7, 2011.
Funds are available in the Public Services Area, Field Operations Service Unit, Park Operations FY 2011, General Fund and Park Maintenance and Capital Improvement Millage operating budgets.
