Title
Resolution to Approve Temporary Authorization for Outdoor Liquor License Service to Arbor Brewing Company for the Taste of Ann Arbor Beer Tent on Sunday, June 5, 2011
Memorandum
The Main Street Area Association has applied for and been approved for their annual Taste of Ann Arbor event on Sunday, June 5, 2011, following the Dexter-Ann Arbor Run. This resolution would allow Arbor Brewing Company to participate in the Taste of Ann Arbor and extend their current outdoor service area for consumption of liquor licensed beverages to a "beer tent" on Washington Street, just east of Main Street. The street closure has already been approved as part of the special event application.  Approval by City Council is required in order for the applicant to receive a temporary outdoor liquor license from the Michigan Liquor Control Commission.
