PROCLAMATION
In Appreciation of
Jeannine Palms &
Buhr Park Children's Wet Meadow Project Volunteers
April 4, 2011
 
 
WHEREAS,      The Buhr Park Children's Wet Meadow Volunteers have dedicated themselves to volunteering in the assistance of the Ann Arbor Parks through Natural Area Preservation; and
 
WHEREAS,      The Buhr Park Children's Wet Meadow Volunteers have worked to improve Buhr Park and the Malletts Creek Watershed by planting and maintaining several gardens and three wet meadows that provide a habitat for native plants and animals, an attractive educational site for children, neighbors and other visitors, and an environmental filter for storm water runoff from the park grounds; and
 
WHEREAS,      The City of Ann Arbor appreciates the tireless work of volunteers in assistance of our parks.
 
NOW THEREFORE, I, John Hieftje, Mayor of Ann Arbor, Michigan, in recognition of these personal and volunteer endeavors, conducted to the greater good of our community, do hereby proclaim a commemoration of Jeannine Palms and The Buhr Park Children's Wet Meadow Volunteers on April 4th, 2011 in the City of Ann Arbor.
