Resolution to Approve a Purchase Order to CRW Systems, Inc. for Renewal of Maintenance and Support for TRAKiT Software ($27,000.00)

Attached for your review and action is a resolution to approve a purchase order for the renewal of annual maintenance and support with CRW Systems, Inc. for TRAKiT Software, FY 2011.
TRAKiT allows the city personnel to utilize a fully integrated and automated system for the entire land development process from initial concept through post occupancy compliance. The software features a variety of workflow processes that assist in tracking applications for permits for projects and individual permits, reviews by the various Service Units (Engineering, System Planning etc.) and approval processes. The TRAKiT Software keeps a transaction history for all procedures that happen within any of the Building and Development permitting processes, providing an audit trail.
It is imperative to maintain the maintenance and support agreement with CRW Systems, Inc. in order to receive applications updates and maintain technical support for the software.
The accompanying resolution authorizes the creation of a purchase order to process a payment to CRW System, Inc. in the amount of $27,000.00 for annual maintenance and support for FY2011
CRW Systems received Human Rights and Living Wage approvals on March 24, 2011.

Whereas, Renewing annual maintenance and support with CRW Systems, Inc. for the TRAKiT System is necessary to receive application updates and maintain technical support;
Whereas, CRW Systems, Inc. received Human Rights and Living Wage compliance approval on March 24, 2011; and
Whereas, Funding for the annual maintenance and support for the TRAKiT System is budgeted for and available in the FY2011 Information Technology Services Unit budget;
RESOLVED, That City Council approve a purchase order with CRW Systems, Inc. for the renewal of the maintenance and support agreement TRAKiT System for FY 2011 in the amount of $27,000.00; and
RESOLVED, That the City Administrator be authorized to take all necessary actions to implement this Resolution.
