Resolution to Establish Council Search Committee

Body

Whereas, The Ann Arbor City Council on March 2, 2011 received a written letter of resignation from Roger Fraser, the City Administrator;

Whereas, The City Administrator is selected and approved by the Ann Arbor City Council;

Whereas, The Ann Arbor City Council requests the Mayor to appoint a Council Search Committee on March 21, 2011;

RESOLVED, That the Mayor appoint a Council Search Committee that will consist of four councilmembers; Councilmembers Higgins, Derezinski, Taylor, and Briere and the Mayor on March 21, 2011;

RESOLVED, That the charge of the Council Search Committee is to place on the April 19, 2011 City Council agenda a recommendation for the Interim City Administrator and to present a plan for the selection process for a permanent City Administrator that allows for internal and external candidates for City Council approval.
