Resolution Accepting Easement for Road Right-of-Way from Stadium Linoleum and Tile Company (8 Votes Required)
Memorandum
There is a resolution before you to accept an easement for Road Right-of-Way from Stadium Linoleum and Tile Company, a Michigan corporation, which grant was given as part of the South Industrial Highway sidewalk gap project approved by Council in 1997.
In 2000, Stadium Linoleum and Tile Company granted an easement to the City of Ann Arbor for road right-of-way on their property located at 2275 South Industrial Highway in the City of Ann Arbor.
This easement was not presented to the City Council at the time of execution, and has not subsequently been accepted by the City Council nor has it been recorded with the Washtenaw County Register of Deeds.
The Project Management team has reviewed the easement and determined that the City would like to accept this easement for road right-of-way.
The easement is in standard form and conveyed without cost to the City.
Acceptance of the easement is recommended.

Whereas, Stadium Linoleum and Tile Company, a Michigan corporation, is the owner in fee simple of property located at the corner of South Industrial Highway and Jewett Avenue in the City of Ann Arbor, County of Washtenaw, State of Michigan, as described in the Warranty Deed recorded on February 5, 1973 in the Washtenaw County Records at Liber 1427, page 801, which property is more particularly described as follows:
Lot 9, Frisinger Industrial Subdivision, as recorded in Liber 15 of Plats, Pages 25-26, Washtenaw County Records.
