Title
Resolution to Approve a Purchase Order to Kentwood Office Furniture LLC for Refurbished Furnishings & Equipment for the 15th Judicial District Court and to Approve a Budget Amendment for that Purpose ($39,000.00) (8 Votes Required)
Memorandum
This resolution seeks Council approval to issue a purchase order in an amount not to exceed Thirty Nine Thousand Dollars ($39,000.00) to Kentwood Office Furniture LLC for refurbished furnishings & equipment necessary for the operation of the Court in the Ann Arbor Municipal Center (the “AAMC”), and for Council approval for a budget allocation for that purpose.
The Court’s rationales for this resolution are related in the Court’s memo to the Mayor and Council Members dated November 13, 2010 (attached).
That memo relates a proposed expenditure of approximately $37,500.00. This resolution requests $39,000.00, representing an increase of approximately $1,500.00 to cover any furnishing contingencies. Note, however, that the resolution is in a “not-to-exceed” format and, barring any contingencies, the Court intends to acquire refurbished furnishings in an amount consistent with the November 13 memo.
Kentwood Office Furniture LLC received Living Wage and Contract Compliance approval on November 16, 2010.
