Resolution for Community Events Fund Disbursements from the FY 2011 Budget
Body
Whereas, The Ann Arbor City Council wishes to support activities that promote or bring the community together in its richness;
Whereas, The Ann Arbor Community Events Committee met and reviewed funding requests from community groups; and
Whereas, The Committee recommends the following allocations:
1) Ann Arbor Jaycees - $3,827.00 to help cover city costs for the Parade Event on July 4, 2010;
2) Champions for Charity - $750.00 to help cover city costs for the A2 Firecracker 5K Run Event on July 4, 2010;
3) Ann Arbor Jaycees - $3,000.00 to help cover city costs for the Summer Carnival Event beginning on July 8, 2010;
4) Main Street Area Association - $750.00 to help cover city costs for the Rolling Sculpture Car Show Event on July 9, 2010;
5) Ann Arbor Convention & Visitors Bureau - $750.00 to help cover city costs for the UA Block Party Event on August 9, 2010;
6) Ann Arbor Convention & Visitors Bureau - $750.00 to help cover city costs for the NTI Block Party Event in August, 2010;
7) Arbor Brewing - $750.00 to help cover city costs for the Community Street Party on August 13, 2010;
8) Ozone House - $317.00 to help cover city costs for the Evening at Farmers Market Event on September 10, 2010;
9) Arbor Brewing - $750.00 to help cover city costs for the Oktoberfest Event on September 10, 2010;
10) Kerrytown Bookfest - $750.00 to help cover city costs for the Kerrytown Bookfest Event on September 12, 2010;
11) Champions for Charity - $750.00 to help cover city costs for the Big House Big Heart Event on October 3, 2010;
12) Hikone - Ann Arbor Educational Exchange Program - $2,500.00 in support of the Hikone Student Exchange Trip in November 2010;
13) UM Alice Lloyd Scholars Program - $1,450.00 to help cover city costs for the Festifools Event on April 3, 2011;
