Resolution to Approve W Washington Street Closing for Oktoberfest - September 10-12, 2010
Memorandum
Attached for your consideration and approval is a request from Grizzly Peak Brewing Company and the Blue Tractor to close half the block of W. Washington Street from S. Main Street to the public alley between S. Main Street and S. Ashley Street from 10:00 A.M. on Friday, September 10 to 1:00 A.M. on Sunday, September 12, 2010 for Oktoberfest. The event itself will run from 4:00 P.M. on Friday, September 10 through Midnight on Saturday, September 11, 2010. The remainder of the time will be used for set up before the event and cleanup following the event. The intersection of S. Main Street and Washington Street will remain open during the event.
The sponsor agrees to obtain all necessary permits, to provide evidence of proper liability insurance as required, to comply with all City regulations governing the use of the streets and will reimburse the City for all event expenses.
Notification of the street closings will be provided through the City’s website.
The event has been coordinated with all relevant City service units for the purposes of traffic control and for the protection of the health and safety of the participants and the general public.
