Resolution to Approve E. Washington Street Closing for Arbor Brewing Company 15 Year Anniversary Party - August 13, 2010
Memorandum
Attached for your consideration and approval is a request from Arbor Brewing Company to close half the block of E. Washington Street from S. Main Street to the public alley toward S. Fourth Avenue from Noon on Friday, August 13 to 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 14, 2010 for Arbor Brewing Company’s 15 Year Anniversary Party celebration. The event itself will run from 5:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. on Friday, August 13, 2010. The remainder of the time will be used for set up before the event and cleanup following the event. The intersection of S. Main Street and Washington Street will remain open during the event.
The sponsor will submit an application for approval from the State of Michigan Liquor Control Commission for temporary sales, service and consumption of alcoholic beverages in the defined areas pursuant to the M.L.C.C. regulations.
The sponsor agrees to obtain all necessary permits, to provide evidence of proper liability insurance as required, to comply with all City regulations governing the use of the streets and will reimburse the City for all event expenses.
Notification of the street closing will be provided through the City’s website.
The event has been coordinated with all relevant City service units for the purposes of traffic control and for the protection of the health and safety of the participants and the general public.
