Resolution to Authorize Summary Publication of Ordinance No. 10-16 to Amend Chapter 26 of Title II of the Code of the City of Ann Arbor
Memorandum
The attached resolution authorizes the summary publication of Ordinance 10-16 to amend Chapter 26 of Title II of the Code of the City of Ann Arbor.
The City Charter contains provisions to allow summary publications of ordinances that are in excess of 500 words in length. The purpose of this resolution is to lessen the City's cost resulting from the required publication of the revisions to the City Code.

Whereas, Section 7.4 of the City Charter authorizes the publication by summary of ordinances over 500 words in length;
RESOLVED, That Ordinance No. 10-16 be published by the following summary:
Ordinance No. 10-16 amends existing Chapter 26 of Title II of the Code of the City of Ann Arbor to: 1) eliminate street leaf collection; 2) require placement of all carts at curbside for most residential units; 3) establish requirements for accessibility and use of recyclable carts; and 4) establish requirements for recyclables and recyclable containers for multi-family housing locations and property managers.
