Memorandum
There is a resolution before you to accept an easement for permanent drainage from Allan F. Newman, a married man, for the Newport Creek Culvert construction project.
The easement is in standard form and conveyed without cost to the City. Acceptance of the easement is recommended.

Whereas Allan F. Newman, a married man, is the owner in fee simple of property located in the City of Ann Arbor, County of Washtenaw, State of Michigan, as described in the Washtenaw County Records at Liber 1524, page 496 recorded on September 16, 1975; and
Whereas, Allan F. Newman has delivered a permanent drainage easement for lands located in the City of Ann Arbor, County of Washtenaw to the City, to run with the land and burden the respective property perpetually, being more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the East ¼ corner of Section 18, T2S, R6E, City of Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan, thence S 87°59'09" W 1327.84 feet along the E-W ¼ line of said Section 18 and the Centerline of Bird Road (66 feet wide); thence northerly along the centerline of Newport Road (66 feet wide) as monumented in the following two courses:
N 21°45'51" W 340.67 feet;
N 27°23'51" W 382.51 feet;
thence S 62°36'09" W 33.00 feet to the Point of Beginning;
thence continuing S 62°36'09" W 20.00 feet;
thence N 27°23'51" W 62.00 feet;
thence N 62°36'09" E 20.00 feet;
thence S 27°23'51" E 62.00 feet along the westerly right-of-way line of said Newport Road to the Point of Beginning.
RESOLVED, That the City of Ann Arbor hereby accepts said grant of easement.
