Resolution to Approve DDA Bylaw Amendments
Memorandum
The Ann Arbor DDA operates by a set of bylaws that were first approved in 1984 and last amended in 2003. These bylaws name the DDA's officers and their duties, provide details on the DDA annual and regular meetings, rules for quorum, voting, funding requests, committees and conflict of interest.
The DDA Executive Committee reviewed the document late last year and recommended several amendments that were approved by the full DDA in February 2010. The attached amendments now need City Council approval to be enacted.

Whereas, The Ann Arbor DDA operates by a set of bylaws that have been regularly reviewed and amended as necessary; and
Whereas, The Ann Arbor DDA board approved bylaw changes at their February 2010 meeting that defined the role of its Executive Director, refined the responsibility of its Executive Committee, and clarified how it would assemble its other committees;
RESOLVED, City Council approves amendments to the DDA Bylaws as approved by the board of the Ann Arbor DDA.
